Science Club
The Science Club at Bhatikar Model High School is a popular, active and dynamic club. The Club organizes various Science-based activities for students and members of the Club participate in various competitions and exhibitions. The events in this club are mainly coordinated by Manisha Dhume

Chhavi Pai Raiturkar and Aditya Ghadge won the consolation prize for their River-Bot in the 1st category at the 18th Annual Science Exhibition organised by Shree Damodar Higher secondary School of Science.

Bhatikar Model’s ‘Waiting for the update’ won the 1st place (Best Drama) at the State Level Science Drama Competition organised by SCERT for the third consecutive year.
Best Script and Best Director to Sir Gautam Gawde. It is an extremely commendable achievement. Hats off to this entire talented team, parents and teachers.

Theatro Fiesta
भाटीकर मॉडल हायस्कूल घोगळ मडगांव, हांणी पालक-शिक्षक संघ प्राथमीक वर्ग हांच्या आदारान एकांकिका महोत्सव 18 जुलय, 2023 ह्या दिसा मनयलो.
महोत्सवाक विद्यार्थ्यांची स्वलिखीत, स्वनिर्देशीत “Walk Like A Man” आनी “Life” ह्यो दोन एकांकिका जांकां “Theatro Fiesta” आंतर विभागीय एकांकीय सर्तींत अनुक्रमान पयलें आनी दुसरें इनाम फावो जाल्ल्यो एकांकिका सादर जाल्यो. ह्या महोत्सवाच्या निमतान ह्या दोनूय एकांकिकांच्या प्रतिचें उक्तावण जालें. तशेंच विज्ञान एकांकिका सर्तीत गौतम अनंत गावडे लिखीत आनी दिग्दर्शित राज्य पावंड्यावयलें पयलें जोडपी “कल आज कल” ह्या एकांकिकेचेय सादरीकरण जालें.
एकांकिका महोत्सवाक कला आनी संकृती संचालनालयाचे संचालक श्री. सगूण वेळीप मुखेल सोयरे म्हणून उपस्थीत आशिल्ले. तशेंच माचयेर शाळेचे मुख्याध्यापक श्री. भास्कर वेर्लेकर, उप-मुख्याध्यापिका श्रीमती मनिशा धुमे, प्राथमीक वर्गाच्यो वेवस्थापिका श्रीमती अंजू कामत, शिक्षिका श्रीमती रती भाटीकर, पालक शिक्षक संघाचे वांगडी श्री. अजीत गांवकर, तशेंच शाळेचे नाट्य शिक्षक श्री. गौतम अनंत गावडे हाजीर आशिल्ले. कार्यावळिचे सुत्रसंचालन शिक्षिका दिपाली नाईक हांणी केलें.
Science Fiesta
Twenty Students from the school attended the Science Fiesta organised by the Science Centre, Miramar Panaji on 25th February 2023. They gained knowledge about Nuclear Power: clean, green and safe. Students enjoyed the Workshop on Astrobiology at the Innovative Hub conducted by Shri Satish Nayak, President of the Association of Friends of Astronomy.
They enthusiastically participated in demonstrations and experiments on ‘Vacuum & Atmospheric Pressure’ and were eager to learn more.
Students also took part in the ‘Foldoscope’ making activity conductedby Dr. Anupama Harshal and thoroughly enjoyed the demonstration session on FIR Robotics by team Lego Goa.
All in all it was a wonderful day for the kids and teacher Maya Mauzo. Sir Siddharaj Mopkar of Vidyavriksh Academy also accompanied the students.
Students of Bhatikar Model High School participated in the ‘Joy of Learning Science through Experiments’ at Dempo Higher Secondary School of Science (Dempo PACE), Panaji. The students eagerly participated in the proceedings and enjoyed the fascinating experiments.
Thank you Prof. B. D. Chakradeo for the innovative experiments, and Mrs Rupa Khope, Principal, Dempo PACE, for this initiative that will go a long way in promoting the understanding of several concepts in Science.

In the State Level Science Drama Festival 2022, organised by State Council of Educational Research and Training our school grabbed quite a few coveted awards.
What more can one ask for? All this is a combined effort and team work by our talented students, support of Headmaster Bhaskar Verlekar and our PTA, guidance of Sir Gautam Gawde, inspiring teachers like Manisha Dhume, music and dance guides Ramesh Naik and Sourabhi Sahakari and art teacher Sachin Naik, Our interns Rajat Hegde, Priyanka Bhat and Tejas Nagvenkar.

Interaction with the students of BITS Pilani, Goa Campus at the TechExpo '22
Our students had the opportunity to interact with students of BITS Pilani, Goa Campus at the TechExpo ’22. The aim of this TechExpo is to create an awareness among school students about the technical culture of BITS.
We are extremely proud that our ex student Abhishek Virendra Kamat was in charge of organising and overseeing the TechExpo 2022.

Science Drama
- Our science drama: Kal, the brutal truth own the first prize in the state-level science drama festival org by SCERT Goa & Nehru science Center Worli Mumbai. They are selected to participate in the zonal level festival at Mumbai. Mast Granthik Buyao __ Best actor prize, Mr. Gautam Gaude__ Best director prize. He is our Theatre Arts teacher
- Other participants are Adnya Mulgaonkar, Veloska Pires, Abhigyan Roy, Arav Bordekar, Greeshma Naik, Sakshi lohate.
Science Exhibition
- Science Day is celebrated at the School on 28th February. Members of the Science Club and subject teachers performed science-based activities.
- Students participated in the 13th Annual Science Exhibition organized by Shree Damodar Higher Secondary School of Science, Margao, in association with Department of Science, Technology, and Environment, Govt. of Goa, in December 2018.
- Students also participated in the State level Western India Science Fair held at Goa Science Centre, Panaji, in October 2018.
Health Checkup
- The Science Club organized a general health check-up of all students and hemoglobin count of girl students, in association with the Health Centre, Margao. The Club also organized a dental check-up of students of Std. V, VI, Rubella vaccination for students of Std. V and X, as well as eye check-up for students of the School.
Science Train
- The Science Express Train, launched in February on the theme ‘Climate Action Special’ – an innovative mobile science exhibition train, traveling across India, arrived at Margao Railway Station on July 11 and stationed till July 13.
- Members of the Science Club visited this train and learned a lot of concepts.
STEM Learning Workshop
- Science Club members participated in STEM learning workshop for girls in December 2018 at Goa Science Centre, Miramar.

- Science Club Members participated in National Science Drama Festival 2018-19 organized by National Council of Science Museum at National Science Centre, Delhi, in January, 2019.
- Ms. Sachi S. Prabhudessai and Mast. Kaushik V. Kudchadkar participated in The Salter’s Chemistry Camp at Goa University in November 2018.
- Members of the Science Club distributed paper bags to shopkeepers to spread the message of plastic-free Goa.
- The Club organized a special ‘Laboratory Program’ to provide exposure to students and teachers of the neighbouring primary schools.
