As part of an initiative to sensitize students of 9th and 10th standard about the challenges faced by children with different abilities in our school, a presentation was organized by the special educator Vanesa Lopes on 12th and 13th of July 2022. Mrs.Percy Cardozo of Sangath, Goa was the main speaker for the program and was assisted by Domnic Xavier and Vanessa Lopes (special educator).
Mrs. Percy Cardozo explained to the students the need for acceptance and inclusion in the classrooms. Tr. Vanessa conducted a few activities to help the students empathize with their peers who are differently abled. Mr. Domnic Xavier who is a successful Human Resource Manager, gave his view and perspective as a person and student with special needs.
The students responded well to the presentation, activities conducted and were very interested in the program. Sincere thanks to Headmaster Bhaskar Verlekar, for his encouragement in promoting the sensitisation program.
