The Annual Gathering of Bhatikar Model High School was held on 28th January 2026 at the Ravindra Bhavan Auditorium. The theme for this year’s gathering was “Goan Culture and Tradition.”
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Saish Poi Panandikar, an alumni of the school, a renowned Goan actor, lyricist, composer, and entrepreneur. The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest.
The Headmaster, Mr. Savio Victoria, then presented the school’s Annual Report, highlighting the institution’s major achievements in academics, sports, and other co-curricular activities during the year. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where toppers and achievers in various fields were felicitated for their outstanding performance.
The cultural programme showcased the rich heritage of Goa through a variety of vibrant performances. Students presented traditional Goan dances and art forms such as Kunbi Dance, Mando, Dulpod, Kotti Dance, Fugdi, Dhalo, Shigmo, Carnival, Dekhni, Goff, Sao Joao, Musal Khel, Dhangar Dance, Corridinho, Romtamel, Ghode Modni, Kharvi Dance, Khalshi Dance, Morulo, and Talgadi, along with engaging skits and musical performances.
The highlight of the programme was Lokvadya, a musical symphony featuring traditional Goan instruments, which captivated and mesmerized the audience with its rhythm and harmony.
The Annual Day celebration not only provided delightful entertainment but also inspired and motivated students to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Goan culture and its rich roots.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the Chairman of the PTA, Mr. Rupesh Shinkre.
Overall, the Annual Day celebration was a grand success, reflecting the vibrant spirit, talent, and unity of the school community, while also celebrating the rich heritage of Goan culture.
